Overview Major Cycles All 10 planets circle around your chart at their own rate and dance in and out of the limelight of your life. Astrologically, they can be broken down into three categories. Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto cycles last the longest, and are usually felt the most. They are some of the major influences, usually for a year. I've seen that sometimes they last 5, 10 and once in a blue moon...over 20! years. The cycles of the outer three planets, Pluto, Neptune and Uranus have a strong effect even on easy angles. It comes...with a softer touch. They seem to be very powerful planets at this time in history. They represent the collective unconscious and always seem to draw a crowd into the situations they create for you to grow through. Saturn is really only strong on hard angles that have more than one pass to the cycle. These Major Cycles often overshadow any Minor ones going on at the same time, or at the very least they colour your responses to the lesser cycles. They also tend to have a lasting influence on your life, because the changes which occur during them are often quite important - so important, in fact, that they may gather and fashion major turning points. Any of these planets in conjunction, opposition or square angles to a planet in your birth or progressed chart, usually, have a strong influence. The 60 and 120 are easier influences, so, things tend to go well, in a easy flow. Intermediate Cycles Mars and Jupiter don't last long, compared to the Major cycles, but can still have a strong influence. Mars cycles usually lasts one or two days. When a Mars cycle sits in it's station, the cycle will last for about three weeks. It is now more like a major cycle. Jupiter, being slower than Mars usually last ten days to a week, strong for about 3 to 5 days. When a Jupiter cycle sits in it's station, the cycle will last for about two Months. It is now more like a major cycle. Some Saturn cycles can also fall in this group as they don't last long either, but, the majority have three passes and influence your life for a year. Minor Cycles Sun, Mercury and Venus are the swiftest moving planets, and can be timed to within minutes of their occurrence. The influence last approximately one day; and are strong only for the morning, afternoon, evening or night. They can be compared to the second hand of a clock. Sometimes Mercury and Venus cycles last longer and in this case their influence increases. These cycles are over shadowed by the major cycles in effect at the time. Also; they lessen or increase the Major cycle's impact, depending on compatibility with the Major cycle. When a minor cycle occurs very close to the same time as a major cycle's strongest day, it can indicate the time when the main event will occur. Once in a while, even the Moon, swiftest of all, lasting half an hour, can have a major impact!.....Now and then. Screen Shots This photo, is a graph calendar for 2 months. The thick horizontal lines indicate that the cycle is within 1% applying or separating. The thin lines indicate that the cycle is outside 1% and will come within the 1% in the future.
The short White vertical lines crossing the horizontal lines is the day it is at this strongest being in the exact angles degree. Like transiting Mars at 6 Virgo 25.8 and a natal Venus at 25 Pieces 25.8 exactly 180% for that moment in time Looking from left to right. The top row are the cycling or transiting planets. The bottom row are the natal and progressed planets for the two months in question. The top row starting at the left with the gray shading are the quotidian progressions. In this case the first seven. All the rest have a black background and are the planets and there position daily through October and November. The bottom line are the natal and progressed planets. The ones with the gray background are progressed planets from birth. The center line is the astrological symbol for the angles. So, the one on the furthest right which shows only a black thick line that starts and ends. This means it is a one pass of Jupiter opposition (180%) Mars. The green line on the left, next to the one above, had 3 short white lines crossing the thick green line. In this case Jupiter is trine (120%) to the progressed Moon, which is moving 1% a month creating the months of October and November to have 3 dates when the 120% is exact. Could be more before and/or after. If you look at the 7th one from the right hand side. It starts with a thin green line and changes into a thick green line with a white crossing line. I point this one out due to Saturn on a 28 year orbit and the Moon on a 28 day orbit. Saturn stays in each sign for 2.5 years and the progressed Moon stays in sign for 2.5 years. This cycle can last for a few decades. Same with Neptune to progressed mercury lasting a few decades. I have experienced both of these. Hehehe … This photo is listed by the strongest date and time when the angle is exact. This photo Octboer and November's Major and Intermediate cycles only. These major ones are listed into the following year when the cycle ends. End dates are very important as well as the strongest dates.
An example would be the one right at the bottom. Uranus Sextile (60%) Progressed Mars. This cycle began July 6/24 and will end completely on Apr 11/26. The last strongest date is Feb 6/26. If you look at the 10th one down. The one with the gray shaded Moon. Thi is Jupiter Trine (120%) progressed Moon. On this screen we can see that the cycle itself began September 29/25 and ends completely on December 2/25. The last exact angle is on November 19th. The Next one down gives us the duration of how long the Saturn Trine (120%) Progressed Moon lasts. Again on the right hand side for the dates December 16/22 till February 3/27. The NEXT exact date, not the last is Nov 26/25 That is basically how that screen works. It can be set to include all the daily and moon cycles, or just one transiting planet or one natal planet.
